The layout of Colle di Val d’Elsa is a bit different than many other Tuscan towns, quite long and narrow, but the scenery is beautiful.

A beautiful building, stunning gardens, excellent staff, great food. Well located close to the town with ample parking. Also bed was comfortable and the room was lovely.

Borgo Grondaie is a large property built out of an old Tuscan farm, just 2 km from the historical centre of Siena. It offers an outdoor salted-water pool, and room and apartment accommodation of various sizes with free WiFi. The gardens are wonderful and the pool is a decent size. The staff were very helpful and everything was well-organised. I was very comfortable in the room and slept well. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station with a bit of uphill and downhill. It's about 25 minutes from the historic centre. It's an oasis of calm on the edge of Siena and I would definitely stay again.
