Really cool tree house rooms on the peninsula. The host and cook is amazing and he makes delicious meals. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is partially open air which was really cool. The hammocks and tables made it a peaceful haven. The pool was still being made when I went but it will be a really nice addition. I highly recommend this place.

The accommodation offers a children's playground. The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at Ceylon Resort. Roshan and his family were all incredibly hospitable. The meals were yummy and the bed was very comfortable. Roshan arranged transportation for us to Sigiriya and made the trip memorable by showing us a few sites along the way.

The property provides lagoon views. The staff are the best! Specially the manager Jessie, so nice to talk to and helped us with everything we needed. The rest of the staff were also lovely. Location is amazing, if you want a very beach jungle vibe this is the place. The pool bar was probably my favourite. Oh and if you want to go to the beach you go by boat, just a couple of minutes. Almost no tourist around.

Backwaters was a lovely spot on the doorstep to the western gate of Wilpattu. They organised a game drive for us (where we saw lots), a river trip and boat ride to our next destination. The rooms and grounds are full of nice, environmentally friendly touches, and the meals are great. Since the centre of the park is a little ways from this gate, a full day game drive turned out to be better than a half day - and allowed usto see lots of elephants at the end of the day.

Yoga classes are available at an extra cost. We had an absolutely amazing experience at Anawasal Resort. From the moment we arrived, it felt like visiting family. Shibi and Dinesh, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. They took care of us in the most remarkable way. The food at the resort was absolutely delicious, with a variety of mouthwatering dishes to indulge in. I must mention that the yoga sessions led by Shibi were exceptional. Shibi's passion for yoga shone through, creating a harmonious and transformative practice. We left feeling refreshed, balanced, and grateful for the opportunity to practice yoga under her guidance. The experience at Anawasal was so incredible that we couldn't resist returning for a few more days at the end of our holiday. Moreover, for those who enjoy kitesurfing, the duotone kitesurfing spot is conveniently located just on the other side of the gate. We highly recommend Anawasal Resort for a truly memorable and rejuvenating stay.
