Its position right by the beach of this quiet safe sandy bay was perfect. Understandable that kiwis book here. Lovely to walk the length of the bay at dawn or dusk. Outside grassy area and tables overlooking the bay with shade when it’s very hot. There are no bars, shops or restaurants in this area which makes it really peaceful. There’s a communal gas barbecue to use. Laundry room and drying facilities and you can borrow beach towels. Small onsite shop for essentials if needed but other shops are a short drive away.

For guests with children, the apartment features a baby safety gate. If you would like to discover the area, windsurfing, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and Unique Estuary & Bird Apartment in Te Haumi Paihia can arrange a car rental service. It was perfect! Homey, clean, big, 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, dishwasher, washer and dryer, kids toys and family board games, big dining table, big kitchen, nice and comfortable living room, WiFi, private car parking spot and the view.... Wow
