Their gym is decent size, and the restaurant food is great.

Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. This hotel features a hot tub, a ski drying room and shared lounge and laundry facilities. The family room was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped with a small kitchenette. We appreciated the hot tub (shared) after a day up the mountain. Dinner and ambience in the pub for dinner was excellent as usual. The mulled wine and seafood chowder are a must!

There are public kitchens and dining rooms available. Well appointed kitchen, nice size, great porch, very quiet. Location pretty close to town, could walk. Grocery store close by. Most restaurants downtown. Washer and dryer worked well. We used the BBQ 3 nights, great!

Just 300 metres from Arthur’s Pass train Station, it offers free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi access. Great spacious area walking distance to the village and the lady was really lovely, gave us recommendations and provided lots of DVDs

Drifters Inn Hanmer Springs is 2 minutes’ drive from Hanmer Springs Golf Course and Woodland Walk Recreation Reserve. Christchurch International Airport is 133 km away. Loved the open fire, room was clean and comfortable and the communal kitchen was great.
