New modern accommodation in an industrial park that is excellent value for money. The room has a small but functional kitchenette. The Cromwell has a lot to offer and Wanaka is an easy drive. We thought this accommodation was a good base to explore the region from. We loved the shower but best of all, it’s very close to Sanga’s Pies which are the best we have had in New Zealand.

Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. This hotel features a hot tub, a ski drying room and shared lounge and laundry facilities. It was a welcome rest as we arrived by bike. The front entrance is vintage and unassuming…but behind the long hedge is a huge beer garden which serves very tasty and reasonably priced food. We didn’t go in to the restaurant as the beer and garden food sufficed. The room was comfortable and looked in to the courtyard. The staff were all very friendly and were able to accommodate our bicycles. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend people go in the front door and check it out.

There are public kitchens and dining rooms available. This accommodation was amazing I can not fault it,we will definitely be staying there again next time we are down.

Arthur's Pass Alpine Motel is located high in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, within Arthur’s Pass Village. Just 300 metres from Arthur’s Pass train Station, it offers free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi access. Peter the host was most welcoming and informative. Room was clean tidy and comfortable. Take your bushmans for midges Arthurs Pass is a very cute place.

Drifters Inn Hanmer Springs is 2 minutes’ drive from Hanmer Springs Golf Course and Woodland Walk Recreation Reserve. Christchurch International Airport is 133 km away. Super easy to access the spa, free use of towels for the spa was great, and staff was very helpful in shifting rooms to meet a change in travel plans.

All rooms have a 42-inch flat-screen TV. The entire hotel staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience truly memorable. Additionally, the food at the restaurant was absolutely delightful.
