Five-Star Hotels in Quito

The reception was inviting and nicely decorated. We enjoyed a good breakfast with a pleasant neighborhood view. Our room was spacious, well-decorated, and had a lovely window seat. The bathroom was also spacious and well-equipped. Additionally, we appreciated the domotic lighting in the room. The staff was polite, friendly, and helpful.

The location, apartment, and facilities were all perfect.

This is an exceptional hotel. The service and care is like no other. I would like to thank the staff for making it a memorable stay. The room was fabulous, large in size, had a bath and the l'occitane products were a lovely touch. The house keeping was excellent and care and thought went into every detail. I had views out the back onto the pool area. Breakfast was delicious with alot of choice and included an omlette stand. I would like to thank Fernando for taking care of me during breakfast time. The hotel has a beautiful foyer with alot of seating, fabulous decor and a grand piano.. My spa experience was wonderful. I really enjoyed using the facilities, especially the outside hot tub.

Excellent hotel in the heart of historic Quito. Customer service was outstanding on every level. Very comfortable room. Excellent restaurant with fabulous breakfast menu. Location is fantastic close to everything that matters in Quito and right next to the Presidential Palace

Great location, safe to walk around at night with many restaurants around but hotel has very good food too. Easy to get around with Uber or taxi, professional staff always eager to help

We chose this hotel for our first trip to South America because we had brilliant experiences with a Swissotel in Izmir, Turkey - and we couldn't have made a better choice! Wonderful spacious suite with breathtaking fews, a fantastic pool, hall, bar, the executive lounge with lovely food and drink and an even better few - I don't even know where to start. It was all wonderful, but the best bit is the staff. Everybody is helpful, patient, so friendly and helpful that you feel like royalty. Especially the wonderful people at the executive lounge and at the reception deserve a mention - and the gentleman by the lift who always helped my wive finding her way. And the gorgeous people in the Spanish restaurant ... and and and. This hotel is a treat. Don't miss it!

A beautiful hotel which is on the edge of Old Town.it’s very stylish and has large comfortable bedrooms which are immaculate and are very quiet at night. Breakfast is wonderful and with excellent choice and is served in the central area. The highlight however was the staff who are very helpful, friendly and professional. We ate every night on the roof terrace, which was beautiful overlooking the skyline of Quito. Ponchos and heaters were a lovely addition and the food was amazing! The service was exceptional, Dino in particular made our stay memorable! He managed to anticipate all our needs and we loved every minute of our stay. A truly amazing hotel!

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel. The concept of a 'boutique' hotel used to mean something - a smaller place where you would feel there was some kind of effort made to make your stay special or different. Nowadays it just gets used to mean any small hotel, but the ILLA is a true boutique hotel. They have 12 rooms in a beautifully renovated old colonial house near the historic centre of Quito (5-10 min walk). Everything about the place and your stay there has been thought about - from thoughtful little touches and gifts they leave for you outside the room, to daily 'experiences' with local artisans where you learn about and participate in Ecuadorian crafts. The staff are super attentive and helpful, the breakfast is excellent and the restaurant does very nice food (albeit on the pricey side). The rooms are extremely large (ours even had a separate 'reading room' attached to it) and well appointed. The hotel has several indoor and outdoor spaces for sitting and relaxing, and breakfast is served in a glass-walled restaurant with an incredible view of Quito & the mountains. There's a pool, though Quito can be fairly cold so it was not in use when we stayed. The location is on a small, pretty street ideally located for the historic centre without being right in it, and we found getting in, out and around super easy. At night, the whole neighbourhood is very quiet, so whether you feel that classifies as 'unsafe' depends on your approach to travel, but we walked home after dark on several occasions without feeling unsafe at all.

The whole hotel is so characterful, which is unsurprising given its age and location in the old town. It's like living in a palatial museum. The staff were polite, kind and attentive, notably the old woman serving breakfast who brought me a herbal infusion when she learned that my stomach was upset. The airport transfer service was at a fair price and very efficient.
