Loved everything!! It’s an iconic hotel portraying a glorious tribute to a bygone era . The decor is stunning , particularly loved the Lighthouse bar and having a room with a Seaview balcony is a must . Loved sitting on the outside terrace I overlooking the pool for breakfast and the food was amazing !

I had an exceptional stay at your hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and professional staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The room was not only immaculate but also beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The amenities were top-notch, and I especially appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the experience, from the plush bedding to the high-quality toiletries. Staff : From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. They went over-and-above to serve and please. Swimming Pool : The big pool was heated ! It made such a huge difference to my experience. Took a dip early in the morning and it was just lovely to walk into a warm pool. The pool boys were very attentive and helped with umbrellas, sunbeds, supply of free water bottles etc. Breakfast : This was exceptional. A very big variety to choose from. You can also order from a menu. It was the same breakfast & layout each morning, but we never got tired of it ! The staff were also very quick to bring the best coffees and warm toast....plus there is champagne at breakfast each morning. This was a feast ! Room : All rooms have a sea-view, also overlooking the pool and the sea. The coffee machine (with pods) & cookies in the room was of very good quality and replenished twice a day. The turn-down-service in the evenings were also a nice feature and we received a different chocolate and fresh water bottles each evening. The towels in the bathroom were extra thick ! SPA : The Mangwanani Spa is small, but there are 2 gazebo's next to the swimming pool area where we had a couples massage. Security : We felt very safe. There is a security guard at the steps leading down from the swimming pool grass area down to the Umglanga Promenade. People walk & jog on this 2.5 km route from early morning. The Parkrun also starts next to the hotel (at the Whalebone Pier)....which was so convenient. We could also park our rental car behind booms inside the hotel parking area. Other : There is a meet-and-greet every weekday evening between 5pm and 6pm...and again this is such a nice extra to drink a glass of wine before dinner.
