This location is the most gorgeous place we stayed in Australia so far. The scenery is great and there is lots of chances to spot cool animals, including some Kangaroos who were in front of our tent :) We had the place all to ourselves which was unbelievable and felt really special to be in such a gorgeous spot all alone. Would definitely recommend this and if you are not a camping type of person don’t worry, it is luxerious beds with all facilities in place :)

L’établissement Mitchell Grass Retreat se situe à Longreach.... Certainement le meilleur établissement pour passer quelques jours dans l'outback du Queensland. Les tentes sont juste incroyables. Les kangourous viennent brouter juste devant. Les propriétaires déposent chaque matin devant la tente un petit déjeuner varié et de qualité. Longreach est la seule ville digne de ce nom à des centaines de km à la ronde, avec des magasins et des restaurants de bon niveau.

The huts were clean and comfortable but still offered the "off grid" vibe we were looking for. Staff is knowledgable and happy to offer advice about the area. 10/10

The Holiday Village is really beautiful just a few meters from the beach. The staff is very very nice and keen to share with you what they know about the island to make your experience in paradise ideal. It's a true gem

Boasting a private entrance, this air-conditioned mobile home includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a hairdryer. Had the most relaxing break staying at this gorgeous tiny home. Only 15 mins from Hervey Bay and so quiet. Slept like a log and the bed was so comfy. Loved the well-equipped kitchen where I could make my coffee and toast in the morning. The bush outlook was stunning from the windows, and the home is surrounded by beautiful trees. I felt very safe and snug. I read 3 books and felt so relaxed and destressed when I got home. Jess, the host, was amazing and took care of everything and the communication was excellent. Just a tip! if going out and not planning to come back until after dark - suggest leave the outside porch light on as it can be a bit hard to find to the home in the bush in the pitch dark or maybe that was just me...lol.
