I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable — exactly what I needed during my visit. I came to this city to attend university lectures, and staying here made everything so much easier. What truly made my experience exceptional was the kindness of the hotel owner. On my first night, I suddenly had severe pain in my knee and couldn’t walk. I didn’t know anyone in the city, everything was closed, and I felt completely lost. I messaged the owner late at night asking if she could help me get crutches in the morning. To my surprise, she went out of her way the next day: she borrowed crutches from her neighbor, drove to bring them to me personally, took me in her own car to an orthopedic doctor, and even managed to get me a special appointment. Without her help, I honestly don’t know what I would have done. I am truly grateful and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. You won’t just find a nice room — you’ll also find genuine care and support. Bus station Köchelplatz is 2 minutes away

A great room with a view - as the name suggests! The guesthouse is up on a bit of a hill which gives stunning views of the vineyards around. Nice brekkie (at additional charge) on the balcony in the sunshine. Great shower and comfy beds.

Me and my husband spent a couple of nights here, and it was a very nice place. The room was very clean and cozy and the yard is just beautiful and full of wonderful plants. The breakfast was very good nd the hosts were very nice and helpful. We hope to return some day.

Wonderful old house, with an amazing garden - fantastic to enjoy in the silence of the evening. Very nice and helpful hosts. Perfectly clean, large room, offering all modern comfort. Excellent location, a few steps to the banks of Danube. Last but not least, very good breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Gästehaus Familie Trachsler and felt completely at home. Even though there wasn’t a boiler or tea bags included in our reservation, our host graciously provided them. She also adjusted her delicious breakfast to suit our tastes. The room was spotless, and although we didn’t use the pool, it looked very inviting. There’s a lovely yard next to the house as well. The location is ideal for anyone who loves walking or cycling along the Danube and exploring the Wachau region, from Krems to Dürnstein or even east to Grafenegg Castle. All in all, we highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.
