NetherlandsWe had a perfect 1 night stay at Wawat. Assem (the owner) welcomed us with open arms and he arranged everything for us, from getting tickets to the lightshow to falafel for breakfast. He was helped by his nephew who drove us around last night. They are a great team together!
Assem speaks English perfectly btw, communication with him has always been great, from when we made the booking until we left.
The guest house is brand new and you can tell: it's squeaky clean, the beds and bedding are in perfect state and the much needed aircon cooled us down within minutes. There's also a communal area with couches and a table with chairs. This makes it feel very homey. Definitely the best guest house we stayed at during our Egypt trip so far.
I highly recommend staying here, not only for the help you'll receive but also for the very comfortable rooms and the Nubian hospitality and warmth. Thank you so much, Assem and family 🫶

The host is very friendly and generous, for example bringing coffee/ tea or even something to eat at his own cost. He takes much care that you feel very well and I liked it much to talk with him.
