Our stay at the Denehurst guesthouse exceed expectations, the hosts were wonderful, hospitable and accommodating. They provide information related to sightseeing and offered advice for restaurants etc. Most of all they made us feel at home and treated us like family. The breakfast menu offered many choices, the food was delicious, better than in any restaurant.

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere.

The whole building was lovely inside and out. It had a really homely feel and was very cosy especially perfect for a cold November night! Breakfast was lovely and served fast. I enjoyed the self check in aspect and the rooms were perfect. We had a lovely view and everything we needed. Perfect location for pubs and the train station was right next door.

Situated 10 minutes of walking to Windermere or Bowness, Hawksmoor Guest House has free Wi-Fi and plenty of off-road parking.

Have stayed at Briscoe lodge before as it is in a fantastic location close to the railway and handy for buses.my room was perfect size for solo traveler and the bed is extremely comfortable.Breakfast was great with choices of cereal, yoghurts, fruit,toast etc Had a fabulous stay and can't wait to book again. A perfect location only a short drive to the lake at boness. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and being informed that we could get 15% off a number of restaurants in the town was an added bonus, we plumped for the spar room with a jacuzzi bath and a four poster bed and the breakfast was hot freshly prepared and plenty of it All in all a 1st class hotel would definitely recommend and we'll be back before to long
