It felt like coming home.. the family is very kind and helpfull.. we walked with them the 1st day to the beach and had a great time.. Engha have always time for a little chat.. the location, room and garden is beautiful.. fresh fruit like papaya and banana from the garden. My favourite part was the beautiful garden full of lovely trees, plants and birdsong as well as the pool which was a great way to cool off. I also loved my room which was spacious, very comfortable and came with fridge, en suite shower and A/C. The hotel staff were fantastic, always ready to help, friendly and relaxed and at the same time very professional with plenty of tips on local places to visit. Great food too, such as butter fish and spicy chicken and recommend the delicious Gambian juice called Wonjo. I had a wonderful week at Hibiscus House - very much hope to go back some time.

The location is a bit hidden, but well located in a quired area. It is safe and locked and car can be put inside the compound. The apartment has two rooms and a bathroom, so it is spacious and comfortable. The owner is very quick in answering any questions and booking was easy. There is also a taxi driver available, who can get you around or can pick/drop you at the nearby Airport. The people taking care there are very helpful in all topics. A small shop and a good local restaurant can be found within 10 mins walk. I recommend the place

A really peaceful and comfortable place. A bit of a hidden gem I would say since you cannot find it on google maps. Its a unique blend of apartment, hotel, and bed and breakfast. The place had real proper airconditioning that made sleeping very comfortable though it was extremely humid and hot outside. For someone from the Netherlands, thats quite important. The vibrant colors and well-maintained garden created a serene atmosphere. I also loved the large patio on the first floor that provided a peaceful spot with a beautiful view of tropical trees. Perfect to hangout a bit, maybe read or just chill. I took a morning coffee there overlooking everything. Very nice. Most importantly the staff is really kind and helpful. That added to the positive experience. So, overall, a delightful and recommended retreat for those seeking a calm and welcoming environment within walking distance of everything.
