We had the loveliest stay, from the cosy room, to the kitchen area, to the lovely decor touches, the sheep, the amazing breakfast, the crazy beautiful views and the lovely hosts. So glad to have stayed here. We loved the generous breakfast options and the talk we had with our hosts, a morning to fuel us for a great day

Absolutely amazing stay. Hotel is located next to the ring road and out of any villages, perfect if you are hunting for auroras during the nights. Views are amazing and we even got to see the auroras from bed! Breakfast has little options but delicious and dinner on the hotel was really good too. Staff was amazing throughout our stay. Even though the hotel was fully booked, rooms were super quiet. Overall, not a negative thing to say, it was perfect!

The rooms are fairly new, and spacious! Very comfy wool blakets and chairs and good wifi, it was actually nice to spend our evenings in the room after a long day of driving and hiking around. The dinner and breakfasts were ok, but not outstanding to write about.

    Wonderfully cosy farm with sheep, chicken and geese, run by a lovely couple. The room was cute, beds comfortable and the kitchen warm. Breakfast was nice, with home made jams and fresh fruits and vegetables.

    This was our best experience with staying in Iceland, we definitely would like to come back again. Everything was really amazing - hosts were very welcoming and friendly, the room was so lovely prepared, kitchen was good equipped, everything was clean and nice, breakfast was great! We felt like being in some friends or relatives house, not just in a guesthouse. We really enjoyed our stay in Holmur and highly recommend it to others.

    What a delight to stay here! I wish I could stay longer, loved the atmosphere and the surroundings. The breakfast was the best I had in Iceland, and the hosts are extremely friendly. I regret I didn't buy the home-made marmelade, would be a perfect souvenir of this fantastic place. The price/quality value is exceptional , very much recommended!
