The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They mostly speak English and made things a lot easier. The location is convenient for everything - both Osaka metro (I think?) and JR stations are 1-4min walk away, and there are coco ichibanya, kushikatsu, 7-eleven, a supermarket and syzaria nearby.

Jakotel was spotless clean. I did not know what to expect at first but upon entering it was clear that the place is well maintained. Both my room and the common areas and the bathroom were exceptionally clean. Probably one of the cleanest I have stayed at, especially given the value for money. The area is also home to many exceptional restaurants and cafes (just down the street to the south there is an okonomiyaki place with a Michelin star that is extremely good, and to the north there is a small takoyaki cafe that I also really liked).

Really great homestay in a traditional Japanese house that has been in the family since the 1920s. Bedding is futons and you'll need to take your shoes off inside , if your this is the experience you're looking for you'll have a great time. The hosts do a great job of being welcoming and have an extensive website to answer any questions you might have. Id definitely stay here again and recommend it to any of my friends visiting Osaka
