The staff are wonderful. I must mention Bushbar who was so accommodating, kind and helpful. We had a delicious takeaway breakfast on checkout as we had an early train back to Colombo. The room was very comfortable, breakfast and dinner very good. Location is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the main street of Haputale which we loved. Great place to stay with plenty of walking through the tea plantations and small villages. Liptons Seat is only an hour tuk tuk ride away - the full day walk back to The Nest is beautiful. Highly recommend if staying in Haputale.

Value for money. Nice room with views, good walking possibilities in the surrounding. Beautiful surrounding, good breakfast, very nice hosts, waterboiler and tea and sucker in the room, hot shower. Go with the local bus (behind the main road) to Lipton tea factories. Beautiful views, a lot of tea plants. The factory is oke to visit. Nice to go up from there to ‘Lipton seat’. With sunrise it is often a great view. We saw only mist. But still we enjoyed the ‘outing’ a lot. We liked also the balconies and nice chairs to sit everywhere. 1 km from town. We walked.

The owner Kalai is so lovely and helpful. The place is really clean and there is a kettle with free tea and water provided. It’s a really nice view from the property and just a short walk to a different viewpoints, one in particular about 1km from the property was great for sunrise! If you enjoy hiking, you can join sections of the pekoe trail from here and there is a nice restaurant a short walk away which has a good selection and is reasonably priced. Very relaxing! Beautiful house at remote location in the mountains. This is the perfect place for everyone who is looking for a quite place surrounded by nature. Munira is the nicest host and all the staff is amazing. We had breakfast and dinner at the house and it was always very delicious! Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff. Location slightly away from my fav Temple road. Perfect surroundings to stay in Haputale. Also not far away from the railway station. The owners met me in the late evening. And took care of me until my checkout. Was a pleasure to talk to them during the breakfast.

Beautiful property, outstanding views, excellent hospitality and service, awesome breakfast. The host was very welcoming and caring. He gave us lots of suggestions for things to do and also organised a tuk tuk driver for us. It’s a short walk to the train station and eating places. Any questions or concerns were immediately attended to. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this homestay and we would happily stay again!
