I had a fabulous time at this hotel and was very sad to leave after four days. The staff are so kind and they keep the place spotlessly clean, despite being right on the beach. The hotel and feels like a small resort. The property is very quiet and it is easy to pass time between the beach loungers and the pool. The location is fantastic, being walking distance from many restaurants while also being away from the noise of the beach bars. It is also easy and convenient (and fun!) to take the bus to Hikkaduwa, the Tsunami Museum, or Galle from the road outside the hotel. Service at breakfast is also top notch. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with easy access to amenities in Hikkaduwa.

Nice and very clean room. Great location, right next to the main bus and train station. Beach within short walking distance. Roshan was very friendly and even helped us to organise a taxi transport to the airport. We highly recommend his place.

We stayed for 2 nights the room was spacious and had good air conditioning with a big balcony and lovely view. The owner was welcoming and informative, also gave us a lift back to the train station.

This wasbest accomodation so far from all the months i ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Staff is extremely friendly and time to time i was thinking about “we people from europe, we are not really ready for that big kindness they can give to us”. Just the stay here, environment, staff, privacy and almost brand new facility is amazing combination of comfort and everything what you need. Highly recommended!

Chamis Place was very welcoming, super friendly staff and accommodating. They cater to special requests well, and can arrange taxis to the airport for a lower cost then PickMe. Overall very good value for everything!

Awesome hotel! I liked absolutely everything here Very kind and polite staff, a beautiful room with air conditioning, very tasty breakfasts. There is also daily cleaning, which is very cool Living here is very comfortable, near the beach and many places where you can go. 10/10

Owner is very friendly. Gave us information on places to go, places to eat and how to arrive. Facilities in this accomodation are great which also includes pool and parking and location is perfect to be at the centre of everything. Owner was also very accomodationg to our requests. Amazing guest house! We had a lovely stay at Tamarind House. The room was very clean and spacious. Also, the air conditioning fan was a very helpful in the heat. Thank you to our hosts, it was lovely to meet the whole family. We were offered dinner and had a delicious homemade breakfast with fruit, pancakes and fried eggs. Our host also gave us a lift in their tuktuk to the bus stop for our onward journey. 100% recommend!!

Excellent clean, fresh, large room with comfy bed and good shower (actually had a shower curtain, which made a nice change!). Large communal area with a two-ring burner, fridge and kitchen equipment, which was really handy for making breakfast. Train was noisy when it passed by, but we got used to it, and they don't seem to run at night. Close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Host was very friendly and we wish her well in her new venture.
