The host was super nice, he brought us food every morning and we did not even asked for anything. Super nice. Also he suggested his friend and neighbour as a driver on the last day. That's how we easily managed to arrive to the airport at 3 am.

This guest house is in a great location close to the waterfront. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. He provided many suggestions for activities and transportation. He even picked us up from the airport, as he was nearby. We were able to leave luggage on the day of our checkout before our late flight. Good AC, consistently hot water, great restaurant downstairs. Would happily stay here again.

I had an excellent staying at the Jazepuri -jaze 2!!! The location is the best because it is very neat to the boat station called jetty and i could pass the opposite side of the river where there are all the main buildings for a visitor of Kuching...and it's also a very calm and quiet place with nice houses and gardens... The house is very cozy, clean with homely furniture..the garden is full of plants very well maintained..there is also a nice terrace where i had nice time doing my yoga and meditation....my room had fresh air, nice garden view, large and convenient...the bathroom is also very comfortable.. But the best of all is the family, the owners.. very polite, very helpful, very good willing.. Mr Zack helped me to make a plan and adviced me how to visit all the interesting places around Kuching...he wrote down all the details i needed to know!!! He is also a very good guid and we visited together a famous and amazing jungle place : Bengoh Dam Tour !!! It's a very must tour..i suggest to everyone go there! you will see the real jungle!most of all i enjoyed the bamboo bridges ,the waterfalls ,the lake view! I have to mention that sometimes mr Jack picked me up when I was late and no Grab around...i am very grateful to them... thank you so much..i will come back with many friends from Greece to explore Sarawak guided by mr Zack.. No hi

Beautiful place, on the very edge of the jungle. On occasions the wildlife comes past the house, saving you the trouble of going out to find it. Gracious hosts, generous with time and knowledge. So close to the city, and yet so beautifully rural. And all in the shadow of beautiful, imposing and enticing Mount Santubong. What more could you want.

It was a great pleasure to stay at Merdeka Guest House! Firstly, the host - he is super helpful, friendly, we spent great time together, he recommended fantastic local spots, made a little foody surprise in the mornings, even helped us find good cheap durian to try! Secondly, the room - it's small but clean and you have everything you need. It was one of our best stays in Malaysia.

Jane and Sam are warm, engaging and considerate hosts who'll do their very best to ensure that you enjoy your stay with them and in Kuching! The breakfast is great (for a guesthouse) with oats, fruits, fried noodles/rice, eggs and spreads, the guesthouse charming and cosy (albeit a bit rundown), and only 15min walk from the waterfront. It's also a great place to meet other travellers, if you're so inclined:)
