We were on the lower level, and in spite of concerns it would be cold during our winter stay it was very warm. In fact, the apartment is heated from floors, which means your feet stay warm too. Besides that… Kitchen is well equipped. Apartment is very clean and modern. Bathroom has new and high quality faucets. Traunkirchen is a very beautiful destination with a dozen of trails for hiking. The hosts were friendly. Unfortunately, we broke some glasses because it was a big company, but this was resolved in a very reputable manner. We would come back again!

The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, with heating and hot water throughout our stay despite the region's low temperatures. Right across the street is the train station (Steeg-Gosau), which takes you to Hallstatt station in 8 minutes, where you can then take a boat across to Hallstatt. Despite the proximity to the train station, there was no noise at all in the accommodation. There is also a bus stop right in front of the accommodation, but we chose to use the train. Personally, I would recommend renting a car for greater convenience, as the train schedules end early, and it saves time on travel. Additionally, there are no supermarkets or stores in the area, so I would suggest getting supplies from the supermarket in Hallstatt. The accommodation offers breakfast, which seems excellent, but we chose to leave early in the morning to explore the area. Overall, we had an exceptional hospitality experience, and we would definitely choose it again and highly recommend it.
