Hosts are professional: the hosts are super nice and helpful. They are responsive and can even help you in planning your trip. They give you a sense of the unique culture available on the island. - Super affordable qnd woth ittt. - Go local: Supporting such businesses instead of super expensive chains (that don't peovide half of the services they offer) is a must. The room gave us the flexibility to visit the temples of Abu Simbel after the visitors from Aswan had disappeared!! Excellent location: About 15 - 20mins walk to the temples. There were ATMs and a few shops close by too Comfortable and quiet room: A bit of a rarity in Egypt! Exceptionally friendly host! Ashraf was always on hand to assist, offer advice or just generally check in and make sure that we are okay! Ashraf also connected us with a private driver to handle the connection between Aswan and Abu Simbel.

I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

A recently renovated guest house in Aswan and within 22 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum, La Terrace has a private beach area, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. The location is excellent, and our host was lovely and incredibly helpful. This place truly exceeded our expectations. Initially, we had some doubts based on our previous experiences in Egypt, but La Terrace turned out to be one of the best in terms of location, views, and price.Situated on Elephantine Island, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, featuring three beds and a cozy bathroom, equipped with all the basic facilities we needed. The island itself is perfect for grounding, relaxing, and taking things slow. Accessing the island from the pier was a breeze, with an affordable boat ticket that took us there in less than 3-4 minutes.Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants around, making it convenient to explore local dining options. We would definitely come back and stay longer next time!

I was a lone female traveller, looking for tranquility in a touristic town with magnificent historic monuments! The guesthouse was perfectly located in front of the lake with birds flying all around, with the great view on sunset, and Ioved it. I was welcomed by a lovely family and enjoyed spending time with them on the balcony. Mr. Adel was always helpful and provided transportation whenever I requested, and kindly came up with options for activities, restaurants etc according to my budgets limits. It was beautiful 2 days, and would definitely recommend staying there.
