Ideal place for recharging one’s batteries. Our host cooked lovely meals and invited me to participate to a temple ceremony . This place is a must to . Great location just away from the main action in Varkala. Very peaceful. The main reasons to stay here are the staff and the food, both of which are exceptional. We were looked after when we changed our booking and then due to flight delays arrived at 1am. Devan provided excellent service and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hom Raj also looked after us for meals and drinks. We didn’t eat much from then European menu but the Keralan dishes (fish in banana leaf, malabari fish and prawn masala) were excellent. My partner cooks a lot of various regional Indian food and didn’t feel like going anywhere else. The rooms are basic in their facilities but very good value. Would happily stay again.

The host Mini knows quite well about the place and she has amazing recommendations for restaurants, things to do etc. Although it was a short stay, they made it perfect! Would definitely recommend at least a couple nights to a week stay for a much relaxed vacation
