EdenHaven cottage is most definitely a garden of Eden and a Haven from the rat race. the cottages are both modern and traditional with striking little artisan touches. the shower room is beautifully appointed. the outdoor private veranda was most relaxing, the lighting, natural teak wood floors and furniture are all the inspiration and imagination of a most hospitable and charming young man Anju. he couldn’t have arranged and done more for my husband and I. our breakfast, evening meals were varied, tasty and juicy. waking up to and settling into the evenings were harmonious, the garden produced the sounds of nature that send you to sleep and invite a new day. i can’t say enough about this open , warm, genuine family hospitality. i didn’t want you to leave. last but not least. my husband, Anju and his safari colleague Lasindu arranged to have my 61st birthday breakfast within the safari on top of a plateau overlooking the national park. cake , presents and a wonderful rendition of happy birthday could be heard by the whole national park… tearful and most privileged to have such attention to genuine detail. Anju and Lasindu and ian of course. thank you from the bottom of my heart for one of thee most memorable experiences.

The host really tries to accommodate every request. My spouse had her birthday, and he helped me organize a surprise safari. The villa is amazing, super well decorated and everything is clean and tidy. You wake up with a view right into the forest. Also always important for me: the bathroom. Great warm shower!

The guest house features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. What an adorable chalet in the middle of nowhere . Gives you enough privacy and makes you feel like a royalty .The owner was extremely helpful and polite . Even though we arrived later than the time decided , we were still greeted with a hot cup of tea and snacks . The place has all the fixtures of a western 5 star resort . The outdoor toilet was by itself a charming experience of the nature . I would highly recommend this place if you want to have a great stay, feel royal , want to experience first hand hospitality of Srilankans and excellent warm breakfast.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the accommodation, while cycling can be enjoyed nearby. We had a brilliant stay at Hasthi cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had a lovely outdoor bathroom and tub. Outside of the cottage was a lovely outdoor area. The cottage was near to the main road where there were some restaurants and shops. We were picked up from Mirissa and dropped off at Ella which was organised by Dasun and was a good price. In the morning we had a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast which was very filling. A laundry service is offered which we used and our clothes were returned the very next day. We went to the national park for the safari which was an amazing day. We were provided with a delicious breakfast and lunch. Our tour guide Pereira was super friendly and awnsered all our questions. He made sure we had time to watch the animals and helped us to take some incredible photos. Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend.
