It was a former pharmacy and they kept everything like a vintage pharmacy to decorate the guesthouse. So cool! Location: The guesthouse is perfectly situated right in the Main Street yet nestled in a peaceful area that ensures a quiet and restful stay. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep every night. Overall Experience: Every aspect of my stay at Pharmacia Guesthouse exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay in Coimbra. I will definitely be returning on my next visit.

We were greeted warmly after parking in front of the easily accessible, secure, free parking in front of the hotel. Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

Some units feature a terrace and/or a balcony with garden views. We loved staying here. It is a very interesting property. We learned from the host that his family used to be rice farmers and he showed us some of the ledgers that his great-grandparents kept. They also tried to preserve as much of the features of the original house as they could, like the beautiful wood floors. We were there in the off season and even though we booked very last minute, he gave us our choice of 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. You can wander around the property and pick fruit from some of the fruit trees. They also grow a lot of their own vegetables. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The guest house is in a 19th century building, fully renovated in 2016. The Sea Garden Peniche is located in Peniche’s lively city centre, a 5-minute walk from the Atlantic Ocean and the Peniche Fortress, which is the local museum. The place is super comfortable, right in the city center, close to restaurants and the exit to the island of Belenga. Furthermore, the included breakfast is great, the room is clean and smells really good. Best choice I could have made for accommodation in Peniche
