Absolutely wonderful property, the photos don’t do it justice, the place is so much nicer than the photos show. Everything is well thought out and provided for a comfortable stay. The grounds are delightful, and the location perfect. We loved our stay, would highly recommend and hope to return. Also, private access to Windermere, where you can sit and have a drink/launch your paddleboard away from crowds on the other side.

The lodge is a great distance to Windermere and Ulverston and just a short drive on an A Road off the M6. The lodge itself was very clean and comfortable and very accommodating in terms of amenities one may need to use. Lovely surroundings and very peaceful during the day and at night - great for privacy. Would love to stay again.

Absolutely gorgeous location and property. Very clean and tidy throughout, all the beds were super comfortable and everyone had a great night's sleep. The lounge is very cosy and easily fit all eight of us visiting, and the dining room looks out over the stunning view. There is a gorgeous outside seating area. The house has several windows which allows it to cool down quickly in the heat (we were visiting during the spring heatwave). The kitchen was very clean and had a large fridge which made it very easy for us to store all the food we brought. Upstairs, the four bedrooms are all double beds (one of the pictures implies there is a room with twin beds) but they can all (but one) be separated, but I think you will need to request single mattresses. The bathrooms were all very clean and of good size. We had a wonderful stay with no issues or concerns! Things you may want to bring: - Sleep mask - if you're sensitive to light, the curtains are good but not blackout curtains. - Ear plugs - whilst the location is very quiet, we had the great pleasure of a peacock deciding to charm us at 5 in the morning with his dulcet screams. Obviously this isn't the owner's fault, but if you're a light sleeper, it's worth considering! (The peacock came to say goodbye to us too, he was quite a charmer!)

Lots of heating available if you needed uts. Good selection of videos and cds and games! Plenty of walks for our labrador!! Bed very comfy, bathroom and shower excellent and kitchen very well supplied...would have like more than 1 x toilet roll

The cottage was very clean and good for space in the bedrooms plenty of storage areas . The underfloor heating is excellent, more so when you have just had a long good walking day and you're ready to wash and put your feet up. Overall, the cottage was more than expected. It was really good value. However, the only downfall was getting to the cottage as I found that the space on the roads to get to the parking is a very tight squeeze fir the car to get through just need to be very careful when driving to the parking space. The only downfall was that the bathroom was downstairs, so if needing the bathroom throughout the night, you had to go downstairs.
