The location, the host, the accommodation, guys, if you want to have the perfect experience in Sal, do not even blink, this is it. I have to mention that I got sick and the pharmacy wasn't working, but then Tila jumped, and she took care of me better than any doctor could. I am speechless when it comes to the place and the host. I wish I could give 10000 stars to this review!

Absolutely recommended. Outside the tourist areas this small hotel is in a safe part of tiny Santa Maria, close to the beach and also the city centre. We had the roof top room with a kitchenette (with everything.... even oven, dishwasher, freezer etc) and for our needs on this trip, it was the best hotel room I have ever had, it felt private with its own part of the terrace behind a little gate and had lots of Light and views in all four directions. Staff is wonderful and professional and cares for every guest taking an interest and trying to adapt to their specific needs. They arranged taxis (same price as if you book yourself) and we also had a good car rental experience through the hotel. Their recommendation with regards to local restaurants were perfect. Will return asap.

Exceptional room: high ceiling, spacious, clean, hot water with good pressure. Nothing wrong. A must if you visit Santa Maria, just behind the main touristic road.

Fantastic property. First class host. He was really helpful driving us into town the first night and then into the city next day to buy local Sim card.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Roof, it was the perfect base to explore the town and a great alternative to a resort-style all inclusive, which isn’t really our thing. It is very well located and everything is easily reached on foot - the beach is two minutes walk away. The roof terrace is lovely and secluded, and the small pool is great for those wanting a break from the beach. Everything in the apartment was quite new and the beds were really comfy, with great air conditioning and a small kitchenette, should you need it. There are lots of plugs in the apartment, and we also had a small balcony. JC, the owner, is an incredible host and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect - a 10/10. He organised any trips we wanted to do, and was always immediately contactable. Nothing was too much trouble, he’s a very helpful guy and it was nice to see an owner who takes a lot of pride in their property and guests’ experience. Due to our room being empty the next day, we were also given the benefit of a later check out to meet our flight time, which was hugely appreciated. Merci pour ce super séjour!

Annya is the perfect host – incredibly helpful and always ready to assist whenever needed. She went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The accommodation itself was absolutely perfect: clean, well-equipped, and with a breathtaking view. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
