The location was spectacular with great views of the mountains around Potes, especially from our bathroom window. It was just a short walk from the centre of Potes and so very convenient but in a very quiet and tranquil part of town. The villa itself is a beautiful old house, very tastefully decorated with a light and spacious downstairs sitting area for relaxing. Our room was so comfortable, the bed was lovely and the mattress super comfy. Having a large sofa in there also made it feel very at home. The sunny mirador and spacious bathroom made it feel very luxurious. We didn't have the breakfast but when we came downstairs the following morning, we saw the tables all laid out and servings of fresh fruit for each place setting. So we then kind of wished we had! Our host (we assumed this was Elena) was super welcoming and friendly. All in all, we had a great experience at Villa Elena and we will definitely be back.

It’s a cute building in a quiet village with a great restaurant and a lovely outdoor pool (seasonal). It is family run and they are friendly, especially if you try to speak Spanish. We really enjoyed the very high quality food and local wine. The breakfast is simple with good coffee.

Hosteria Picos De Europa has beautiful views of the village of Potes and Peña Vieja, the highest mountain in Cantabria. It offers good-value accommodation with free Wi-Fi access.

We really enjoyed this posada. It is very close to the golf and in the middle of cows fields. It's so peaceful, exactly what we needed. The staff was super friendly and attentive to us. Bed was super comfy and breakfast good. We will definitly come again.

Close to the Camino. Virginia, the girl in the reception, was very friendly and service minded. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
