Homestays in Damyang

Everything was pleasant here - the manager, sanitation, facilities, and the whole atmosphere. The building is very clean inside but also somehow old in appearance, preserving the modern style of Korean houses built in the last century. The main travel destinations of the city - ACC / 5.18 Democracy Square, Chungjang-ro are accessible by bus right from here. I have to visit Gwangju several times next year, and I will definitely choose here again.

Feel like home, and the guest house front office was so sweet person, location is very much accessible in that city. Very peaceful place

The best location in town I think, because you get the penguin village and the area nearby with a bunch of galleries, cafes and restaurants around. Right across the river you have the buzzing city life area with museums, shopping, night life and more cafes. The owner is a nice lady who also hosts bachata dance class, you can ask her to participate. The place offers "Korean breakfast" which has multiple variations, but if you didn't have spicy kimchi soup for breakfast before - here's your chance :) The dorm area is clean and new. There is a balcony if you need to dry your clothes, the bathroom is in the room as well, which is nice. Hike to the mountain is a short bus ride away. If you go a bit deeper into the hood, you'll discover the local place 60계치킨 광주방림봉선점 - the best Korean chicken I had in Korea. They can also make the red sauce version not that spicy if you ask.

Great location and easy to walk to nearby attractions. It was also simple to navigate to from Gwangju as the bus stop was close to the accommodations. The hosts were kind enough to bring me breakfast one of my mornings which was super nice. Room was great and comfortable.

Located in a cool neighborhood with lots to see and eat, but still very quiet at night. The facilities are clean and the host kindly provided amenities. The travel guidebooks were an additional plus. The view in the morning was impeccable.
