The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

Review: An Unforgettable Stay at Lake Cabin Our stay at Lake Cabin was absolutely magical! The view was the most breathtaking we have ever seen— view of swimming monkeys, water buffalo, and countless beautiful birds was an experience we will never forget. The owner was amazing—so friendly and welcoming. He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He even brought us breakfast at 5 AM before our early morning safari, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. We also highly recommend the cooking class hosted by his sister and niece. It was a fantastic experience, and we learned so much about local cuisine while enjoying a warm and friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for a place with stunning nature, exceptional hospitality, and unique experiences, Lake Cabin is the perfect choice!

Second time here, but if we will come to Sigiriya, definetaly to this place. .The surrounding is so beautiful, you feel as the middle of the jungle. Monkeys are watching you all the time, its funny. The rooms are superclean and comfortable. Finally the breakfast is amazing. The owner puts not only lot of food, but his heart on tge table as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!😊😊😊

This lovely home stay stays in our hearts for a long time. Family was so welcoming and we helt very safe and like home while staying here. Host helped us with everything and let us have their services the whole next day after staying. She also helped us to find services that we wanted and always wanted the best quality for our money. She booked us a safari and helped to choose the best one for us Dinner and breakfast were amazing and we also got extra lunch when asked. Kids took us to see their village and garden. Those were such a lovely tours! Garden and a view were great. If you want to stay and enjoy your time with heartful family, this is the place. We would come back anytime!

We had such a wonderful stay at Yashi’s place. It was clean and comfortable. Harsha went out of his way to make our stay special and as comfortable as possible. His family was so lovely and friendly. We had a delicious dinner cooked by his wife and a scrumptious breakfast every morning. The location is perfect - a short tuktuk ride to all the main attractions (pidirungula rock and lions rock - which Harsha helped us arrange for reasonable prices) and the main strip of shops. We were delighted to catch the peacock on the roof! There are also lots of cute little squirrels on the property. An added bonus is Mr Caffeine just down the alley which has great coffee. Highly recommend staying at Yashi’s place.

Brand new treehouse with so much character. Duminda and his family are the best people you can find and they’ll not only take care of every need you have but will also make feel like part of the family too. Also you get a great view of Pidurangala and a chance for a wild elephant to wander near you (don’t worry it’s safe) I’ve been to hundreds of bnb’s and hotels and this one was definitely top 5!
