Every time we visit Colombo, we stay here. Mohanlal is a wonderful host who takes great care of his guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is delicious. The beautiful river view makes it even more special. We are always happy to come back!

I stayed 4 nights at Jay’s Guest and absolutely loved it! The room and kitchen were super clean, and the whole place felt like home. It’s perfect if you want to cook your own meals or do laundry during your stay. If the location works for you, I’d definitely recommend it.

It is very clean and peaceful, although most of the time we were busy outside, we had no trouble dropping in for a short rest because the location was very convenient! We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay and refresh.

A true gem! This boutique hotel exceeded all expectations. The interior design is absolutely stunning. Every detail, from the furniture to the lighting, reflects a perfect balance between modern comfort and timeless local charm. The staff were exceptional – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From check-in to check-out, the service was flawless. It felt like staying with friends who truly care about your experience. Charming boutique hotel, nicely designed and decorated, with a lush garden. Our room was of adequate size (we would prefer it a little larger), very clean, with comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. Nice (smallish) bathroom. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the owner who offered excellent cinnamon tea and had a chat with us regarding Colombo and Sri Lanka. He, also, recommended places to visit in town and all his suggestions were excellent and to the point. He, finally, arranged our after-midnight transportation to the airport. If we visit Colombo again, we will definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it for a short or longer stay.

Luxury interior, great, big bedrooms. Theres a big kitchen, with dining table for 8 people with modern living room. On 2nd floor are bedrooms with 2 luxury bathrooms and one shared living room where we watched netflix before sleep. You can chose breakfast (Sri Lankan or western), both are awesome. House is in quiet part of Colombo, 10km from city centre, 3km from beach. There is also 24h guard in front of complex so bothing to worry about safety.

    Great host. Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.

    Shiranthi is a lovely host. She gave us a lot of useful information and made us tea every morning. The location is a little outside of Colombo but reachable very easily and cheap by local bus. It felt like home for 3 nights. We would definitely recommend
