Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

The hosts were super friendly and open to me. The room was very bright, large and beautiful. Outside the gate you encounter a more then beautiful lake with lots of birds and plants.

The lady who owns the guest house is one of the most kind and helpful person that we met since arriving in Sri Lanka. The room is very clean and confortable, the guest house very peaceful. Dont hesitate to book, you wont regret it!

I‘ve had the most wonderful stay. The tour guide for the safari was organized by my host and was one of the very experienced drivers. I also got recommendations for dinner, was taken for bird watching, was driven to the bus station and all the time my host made sure that I felt comfortable and everything worked out. Host is very kind and welcoming. She gave us tea on arrival and bananas from her own garden which tasted amazing. Immaculatley clean room and bathroom. Room is very big and spacious Also had drying racks which was very handy, also had drying racks which was very handy. Very good air conditioning in room. Organised our safari ar Yala National Park before arrival. Great value for money. Would highy recommend.

Probably the best experience we’ve had staying anywhere!! Fresh coconut water when we arrived. Then a free guided tour around of the lake and birds in the area in Priyankara’s (owner) tuk tuk. The room’s were spotless and had plenty of space. The bathroom too, everything felt thoroughly cleaned and well placed. Everything just worked in all ways. He organised the Yala tour for us at a fantastic rate. He had picked and dropped us up from the bus stop for free in his tuk tuk when we arrived/left Tisa. Everything was just perfect and so thoughtful. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

We liked the location next to the lake and the huge amount of wildlife we could enjoy watching while sitting on the balcony or in the beautifully kept garden. The host family are extremely welcoming and we felt well looked after with suggestions on things to do and help arranging tuktuks etc. The home cooking was perhaps the best we have had in Sri Lanka and generous in proportion (1 dish will easily serve 2+) and well priced. We enjoyed a local specialty, buffalo curd with treacle see photos), amongst other dishes. The location is a little out of the city but we liked that it was quiet, peaceful and offered the lake view, the room itself is basic but what you need - think of it as glamping and the rustic nature part of the wildlife aesthetic.
