Villa Hutan Datai is a collection of 4 beautiful villas located in the middle of ancient rainforest with breathtaking views of Malacca straits and Turatao national park, it's very secluded and peaceful with access via a private road with gated entrance. It’s an amazing place where you can fully relax and enjoy the nature around you, inc monkeys, eagles, hornbill’s, squirrels, and lizards. Our Villa had fantastic views of Datai bay which is shared only with the world class 5* Datai hotel. There's a short walk on the private road through the rainforest to the beach and the host of the villas Kenneth and Jenny will drive you there and pick you up on request if you wish. Special mention and thanks must go to Jenny and Kenneth who are the most kind, hospitable and happy people who couldn't do enough for us over six fantastic days we stayed. They would go out of their way to provide anything we wished for inc any food or drink request. As well as the Hotel Datai close by there is also a championship golf course just a few miles away. Everything was amazing, especially the privacy and views . As well as the 4 villas overall, there is a freestanding lounge and dining room villa which all guests can share, and it’s filled with beautiful items and furniture collected by the owner. Breakfast each morning was lovely served on the balcony with a good selection of fruits and cooked foods. There is also an infinity swimming pool with amazing views to die for. One of the best places we have stayed with great service, we would love to go back!

The property is a hidden gem - amidst a scenic piece of paradise (as the name suggests) - on a hilltop, overlooking the blue ocean. The property itself is very tastefully done - architecture as well as the interiors, with multiple elevations. The room is super large and the bathrooms have a splendid view! The infinity pool overlooking the sea is a treat. Kenneth was very warm and went over and beyond his duty to take care of us. We needed a break and this was more than we imagined - definitely coming back soon with more friends and family!

Nanthi and Didi were the most welcoming hosts, friendly and enthusiastic. From the minute we arrived we felt valued and Didi gave us lots of really useful information about things to do, restaurants etc. We hired a scooter from them for two days which made seeing the island so easy. On our last night they organised a minibus to take all the guests with them for a wonderful sunset dinner in a paddy field restaurant. We really felt like family. Breakfasts were simple but delicious, Nanthi's scrambled eggs are fabulous! It may not have the amenities of a larger hotel but who needs that when you have a clean comfortable room and excellent hosts who really care about their guests. Highly recommend!

Absolutely everything! It’s an amazing place to stay on the island! Totally recommend! Best breakfast, fast free WiFi, AC and free transfer from and to the airport! Hosts (Mama Yati and Papa Mas) were always available and helpful!

Lovely garden, adorable host, perfect place to chill out and meet other people. The rooms are very basic but clean, you may find the odd mosquito in your room. On the morning of my departure I saw a large family of Dusk Leaf Monkeys passing by.

The host was lovely and incredibly helpful. The accommodation is unique and quirky which we loved and the swimming pool warm and welcoming. The setting was on the edge of a paddy field and had lovely sunset but my favourite part was the cats around the accommodation

Perfect place to relax in the middle of nature 🧘 but also perfect to have nice conversations and connection with other travelers and staff! Everyone here is super chill, Mun, the owner is kind guy very talkative so you wont feel bored. Amazing!! This place is perfect, the amenities are incredible and the hut we stayed in was first-class. The room and bathroom were gorgeous with very good air conditioning and everything you could possibly need. With little snacks on arrival and every morning. This place was also very good value for money - and can’t imagine the expensive resorts being any nicer. We rented a car to explore the island and there was plenty of parking on site to keep the car. We also went for a massage at the nearby spa just up the dirt road which I couldn’t recommend more for very good value.

It's feel like you're at your own place... Very recommended for long trip vacations especially for big family members. Quite far from kuah and chenang beach,.. but it's valuable for my family which always looking for advanture.
