At first when you walk into a hair salon it feels strange but after 1 night all the good comments make sense. The bedrooms are not fancy but very comfortable, the staff is extremely lovely, the breakfast is incredible and the location is great also! Thank you very much to all the staff for a lovely stay!

This is my kind of hostel!! As soon as you enter the building, you will find yourself in a beautiful garden that merges with the bar and reception; it's a lovely place to get some rest, chat with other people or drink. The rooms are very large and comfortable; I stayed in 2 different rooms because I decided to stay one more night! It is very well located; you are inside the Old Town, but also very close to the Night Market and other attractions. Gilles is that stereotype of an enthusiastic and helpful host; he put me in touch with other guests and gave us a lot of good advice on which not-so-touristic islands we should visit in the South, he knows it all! I also booked a cooking class there, I highly recommend.

Amazing stay here! Noon and her mum, and Renu were lovely and sweet, always trying to help. We stayed in two different rooms, very clean, very comfortable, with windows opening onto a quiet street. Free breakfast in the morning with homemade Thai sweets, delicious! We felt like at home, being welcomed and taking care of just like if it was family. The homestay is in the old city, close to the temples, night market, restaurants, shops... Very convenient. We absolutely recommend Nu Phen!

It is a lovely green and local house with various rooms. The owner Jimmy was so welcoming, genuine and kind from the very first moment. He welcomed us introducing himself, his place and the city. He gave us a map and and suggested some of the better attractions to visit. His wife was so kind and smiley to. It’s a local place where you can really feel the beautiful local vibes. Ps I loved their cat too

    The homestay was ideal for a couple back packing, excellent value and in a great location. Jimmy and Jeng were extremely hospitable and a great help! The room was very basic but this was expected with the price.

    Everything was perfect. Super atmosphere, great host. We arrived late in the evening, the host asked if we were hungry and let us make some toasts. We had only two days in Chiang Mai and the host helped us to organize trip to Doi Inthanon (she made some calls and we had a great private trip with her nephew, who told us a lot about Thai culture, religion and food). The last day after check out we left our luggage at the homestay, when we came back the host gave us fruits for a long train trip to Bangkok.
