It was quite cold in Alishan, but the hot water supply was very good. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the white Shiba Inu was in heat and had been isolated and taken down the mountain, so we only saw the other two dogs. The staff sister recommended us to go up to see the sunset, but unfortunately, due to the haze, we didn't have a clear view. However, the location of this homestay is quite good, and our room had a view of the sunrise. Overall, we were very satisfied.Guest review byDaphneFamily with young children

Booked the room with balcony which welcomed us with a splendid view of the tea plantations nearby. Breakfast was healthy, delicious with a good spread. Sunsweet House started offering hotpot dinner which offered generous servings of fresh vegetables, which was a delight on colder nights. Ask the owner/staff on where to view sunset. I love dogs so having the homestay’s 2 dogs to wake up to/ come back to just made me love my stay even more. The staff were thoughtful, the season just turned cold and they started using winter blankets which kept us really warm at night. A short bus ride down (about 2 stops) and there’s pretty good food options. There’s also a convenience store near the homestay.
