It's a 4min walk the public ferry boat that crosses the Nile over to the East Bank. Where the East Bank is very noisy and busy with lots of hustlers, the West Bank is more peaceful and laid back. The hotel just opened last November and everything was brand new. The design - both interior and exterior was very nice, had a Moroccan theme. Laurice the owner and general manager was lovely. She was able to answer all my questions about the area, very helpful and friendly. The Egyptian breakfast was also great, it was a giant tray with a plate of ful, fried scrabled egg, a basket of aish baladi, eish fino and a flaky paratha, strawberry jam, laughing cow cheese, honey, yogurt, olives, white dip, bowl of mixed fruit, orange juice and coffee/tea - it's basically brunch lol. I stayed in the Nagham room which was on the rooftop. Although it was a bit of a hike to drag my luggage all the way up (no elevator lol), it was well worth it because I had the whole rooftop area to myself! The room's private balcony has views of the nile whereas the balconies of the other rooms just face inward into the courtyard of the building. There was also a public balcony up there as well. It's a beautiful property overall, I highly recommend!

The staff arrange a tour for me with the guide Heragy, he is very knowledgeable My room was spacious with a large patio door and balcony 😊 The breakfast is copious too much foo for me and I had dinner, great food but again too much for me I highly recommend the place

Amz, the owner, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, helping me with anything I needed at any time of day. The room, the bathroom, the kitchen, and the entire area were all clean and well furnished, with everything you could possibly need. There was always hot water. Not to mention a fantastic rooftop terrace.Sincerely, I have never experienced such a rich and delicious breakfast and dinner in accomodation of this kind, which is alone, worth the cost of the stay. I also would like to mention the washing service they provided and the transport to the bus stop the last day by Amz. Overall, I'm very happy, and this will definitely be my stay the next time I visit Luxor.

They helped me like a friend and I am grateful. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hot water running and kitchen was equipped to be used. I would recommend this place also to travelers with friends because there is a nice living room space and rooftop to hang around before bed. The location is walking distance from Luxor Temple which is great to explore the area. I have enjoyed their homemade Egyptian meal on the rooftop. I chose fish and it was flavorful, soft and crunchy. Do try their meal! They have other meals and drinks.

Amazing location for seeing the tombs and temples. Tayeb is incredibly helpful with all things Egypt not just what’s around Luxor. His hospitality is the best I’ve experienced in all of Egypt. Make sure to have dinner there as it’s the best food I’ve had all trip long. Breakfast is also incredibly filling with a variety of different foods every morning. If you require a driver for anything (I recommend it for sightseeing) ask for Hassan he was a legend. He knew all of the best times to visit places to avoid the crowds and lots of local hidden gems which I would not have found otherwise. The property itself has a pool, small library and many sitting areas. The amount of literature on the surrounding area (half French/half English literature) in the library alone makes the visit worth it. Definitely take an evening or two to read through everything and to pick Tayeb’s brain about the locals tombs. He is a wealth of knowledge. Also on site there is a couple of really well behaved cute pets. The West Bank is quieter than city life on the East but that’s part of the charm. For anyone who is considering going to Luxor I would 10/10 recommend staying here.

Luxor Museum is 15 km away and Luxor Train Station is 17 km from the guest house. We can hardly believe that we were lucky enough to come across this hotel by chance. The Nile compound is a paradisiacal hotel far away from the tourist hustle of the city center and I recommend it to everyone for a stay in Luxor - you won't find anything better. It's like a little oasis of peace where you feel at home and yet you can reach the center very quickly by cab or tuktuk. We received a very warm welcome here and immediately decided to stay an extra night, because you don't often find such a beautiful place. Our bungalow was right on the Nile and we had a wonderful view. We were also able to order first-class local food and drinks or shisha at very fair prices. All the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly and always on hand to help when we needed advice (for example, we had a problem with an outside cab driver who charged more than we had agreed and they were on hand immediately to sort the situation out for us). The owner Mahmoud made sure we were provided with everything around the clock and we have rarely felt so comfortable - we will definitely be back to stay longer!
