We originally planned to stay 14 nights… but ended up staying four and a half weeks – and even that wasn’t enough. Arirang Homestay is the kind of place where you arrive and instantly know: This feels like home. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the peaceful location with views of the sea and the lush green valley is pure bliss. They ensure that the accommodation always looks better and better. Every morning we enjoyed a fresh and delicious breakfast, and whenever we needed anything, it was taken care of immediately – even arranging a scooter for us at a great price. But the most special thing? The staff are more than just friendly – they became family. We laughed together, shared stories, and even shed tears when it was time to say goodbye. We will absolutely be back – and once you’ve been here, you’ll understand why it’s so easy to fall in love with this place and its wonderful people. All units at the homestay are fitted with a seating area. Every unit is fitted with a private bathroom, a safety deposit box and free WiFi, while certain rooms have a balcony and some have inner courtyard views. At the homestay, each unit includes bed linen and towels. The location of the facility is great: away from the hustle and bustle but close to any services and just a few meters from the sea and the port. Here you can rent bicycles, very convenient. Everything was very clean and fragrant. But the highlight is the people who run the accommodation, wonderful and very nice people, we had a great time. The breakfast was very good. If we ever return to Gili Trawangan, we would definitely choose this accommodation again. Thank you so much to all the staff, you were amazing and made our stay even better!

Tatasya homestay, a property with a garden, is situated in Senaru, 1.1 km from Sindang Gila Waterfall, 2.2 km from Tiu Kelep Waterfall, as well as 20 km from Umar Maya Waterfall. This guest house offers free private parking and full-day security. The accommodation features free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a family-friendly restaurant. I stayed at Tatasya Homestay in Senaru and they were incredible from start to finish. They helped me plan and execute my Mount Rinjani trek and made everything smooth and stress-free. They held my bags while I hiked, arranged a car ride to Kuta after my trek, and even welcomed me back with fresh coconuts. After the hike, they let me shower and rest in a room before heading out, which was such a blessing after three days in the mountains. The hospitality here is top-notch, super warm, helpful, and kind people. That alone makes this place worth staying at. One small downside was that they didn’t mention the hot springs wouldn’t be hot because the lake was too high during rainy season. Also, I did the 3-day/2-night trek, and while it was beautiful, it was pretty brutal. On the second day, you summit at sunrise, hike down to the lake, then up the other side of the crater, it’s a really tough push. I’m not sure the extra day is worth it unless you’re super set on seeing the lake. If you're looking for value and a challenging but more manageable hike, the 2-day/1-night trek might be the better choice. Overall though, I 100% recommend Tatasya Homestay if you're heading to Rinjani. They took such good care of me, and I’m grateful for everything they did.

Boasting a garden and views of river, Stay Together is a recently renovated homestay situated in Tetebatu, 13 km from Tetebatu Monkey Forest. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We felt right at home at stay together! Egik and Ika are amazing people. They are so welcoming and kind. We absolutely loved staying in Tetebatu at their homestay. The room is really modern and super new. They take really good care of the homestay. The garden is amazing and you’re just sleeping in between of ricefields. We ate every night at the homestay and the food was just amazing! You can just see the Mount Rinjani from your window. The surrounding is super calm and so beautiful. We also did a rice field tour managed by Egik. The tour was really interesting and our guide Harry told us everything about the plants. Thank you so so much for taking care of us and cooking the most delicious food! It was an absolute pleasure and we’re definitely coming back!

Stunning, rural location overlooking rice fields, lush greenery and Mont Rinjani summit in the distance. The constant hum of crickets and the flittering of hundreds of dragonflies along with the scenery makes for a gorgeous nature retreat away from it all. Nip and Awan, along with their lovely family, were lovely hosts and the homemade food was delicious. Nip and Molls took us in the most amazing trek across paddy fields, down through jungle, across rivers and up to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, as well as showing us and explaining about traditional villages and taking us to an ancient mosque. Nip was really knowledgeable about everything from agriculture, plants, traditions and history and we would highly recommend taking her up on her offering of this opportunity. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in Lombok again. We didn’t do the Mont Rinjani trek this time but you always have to leave something to come back to do, right?!
