Yansen took us to see the funeral ceremony and showed us around the town which was very interesting. He speaks very good english and is very knowledgable on the history and culture. Speaking about homestay, the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. There was a hot shower. Also bed was very comfortable. We rented a scooter and had a ride around town and surrounding areas, which was very beautiful. 10/10 expierence overall, would definetely recommend and I would love to come back again!

Sarah (the owner) is a very great host and helped us with so many kind of different things! She and the whole family are incredibly kind. Sarah organized for example a guide, a motorbike and our bus back to Makassar. When somebody of us felt sick, she said was very caring and she did everything that we felt really comfortable. On top of all of that, she is one of the best baker we have ever seen (jam, bread, cake… all is homemade) and definitely the best in Indonesia!! She is creative, innovative and she built here in the middle of Tana Toraja a place where everybody just can feel like home! We would recommend our guide ASTRO: Sarah organized a guide called Astro. He is truly passionate about his work and tells you about everything and when you have a question he definitely will answer it. He did never hurry us and gave us all the time we needed to process this amazing culture in Tana Toraja. Astro was every time the first one, who knew news and rumors and that’s why we spent two wonderful days with him and enjoyed every single minute with this great guy.
