This homestay features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The homestay has family rooms. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and helpful. We asked Peso to create a tour for us and we were not disappointed! He is very knowledgeable and is thoughtful about his answers and where he takes you. Food was plentiful and we were greeted every afternoon with a delicious fruit drink. Everyone was so very nice. The bed was comfortable too. 😊
Tomohon
Offering a garden and mountain view, Talaga Tomohon Home Stay and Fishing Pond is located in Tomohon, 26 km from Manado Harbor and 5.4 km from Mount Lokon. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 18 km from Christ Blessing. We spent one night in Tomohon and would definitely recommend staying with Riko and his family! The room is simple, but clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony overlooking the beautiful, well-kept garden and the volcano is fantastic. Since the house is located on a small side street, it’s also very quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately, we only had one day to explore the area, but Riko went out of his way to make the most of our time there. He organized a private tour for us, and we got to visit a waterfall, hot springs, the volcano, and several other spots — it was a wonderful day. We would absolutely come back!
Rantepao
Providing a terrace, The Sanduk Homestay provides accommodation in Rantepao. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi.
Towels and bed linen are provided in the homestay.
Our room was spacious, clean and our bed was extremely comfortable. We only had to share the upstairs bathroom with one other room, and it had hot water which was very much appreciated.. There’s a lovely balcony and common areas to relax and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and water.
The host is wonderful and truly went above and beyond for us - he allowed us to check-in very early and even cooked us breakfast the morning we arrived, he arranged our onward travel, provided free transport to the bus station and kindly packed some fruit for our journey.
He can help you arrange a tour/guide, motorbike rental, find places to eat and visit. Our only suggestion is to be as clear as possible with your guide about what you are wanting to experience / see to avoid any disappointment. Unfortunately we missed a key day of the ma nene festival because of a miscommunication (which was partly our fault too.)
Rantepao
Situated in Rantepao in the South Sulawesi region, THE SINGKI HOME FAMILY has a balcony. This homestay features a garden. Rooms include a terrace with mountain views and free WiFi. The location is perfect, you can visit the city center by foot. The place is beautifull, i loved spending the end of my days just reading in the balcony watching over the rice field. The beds are confortable and clean. The breakfast is super tasty. But the best part of our stay were Imanuel and Kevin, father and son, and our hosts in their homestay. They will always give their best smile and effort to help you around, and they have such a big heart! I compleatly adore them both. Imanuel took us over some places to visit like graveyards, ricefields, and funeral ceremonys, always giving us the best explanations of the traditions and advise on how to behave and dress for the ceremonys. The two of them made our stay so very special and authentic. I will never forget this amazing days in toraja.

Rantepao
Ne Pakku Manja Family Home has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Rantepao. This homestay features a garden. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Meyske and her mother are amazing hosts and the homestay is cozy and well decorated. It is designed to share some space and experiences with the other travelers. Meyske is an amazing guide to get to know Toraja and their traditions. She helps you make plans for the day to discover the area, but I would recommend a guided tour with her. We did 2 days and couldn't be more happy about our decision! Really informative, info well structured, unique experiences and a perfect way to get to know everything closely. Her english is great which also helps! The food Meyske and her mother prepare is the best! As vegetarians we have very few options eating out in Indonesia... They made different and delicious things so we decided to have dinner at the homestay every night!
Rantepao
A good location for a relaxing holiday in Rantepao, Mama Tia Family Homestay is a homestay surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a garden, shared lounge and parking on-site among other facilities. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The homestay features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. This was one of the best places I’ve stayed in in my travels, hands down. It is basic, but proof that basic can also be excellent. Jacob & Yansen were fabulous hosts-cum-guides, the food choices were simple but tasty, & the whole atmosphere of the place, including my fellow-guests were wonderfully friendly. So glad I chose this over some place inRantepao proper where I would have felt in the middle of a city. Here we were in the real spirit of Tana Toraja, w Tongan’s a stone’s throw away.

The guest house features sea views, a terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. this homestay was really really nice. the food 3x a day (7-9am, 12.30pm, 7.30pm) is soooo good. best food i had in indonesia, and different meals each time. Helmi and his wife and family are so nice. there's even a tofu restaurant small business in the front of the homestay, very cute. it's on the beach which is great, easy to rent snorkel gear (about 50k/day) and a motorbike (also about 100k/day). right next door to Blueshark diving, Dion and Jeffrey and the crew here are awesome. The snorkeling is also nice right at the reef at the property, just swim like 50-100m out (takes 5 mins). Amazing sunsets. Room is simple. A bit hot in the mornings. There's free coffee/water/tea. Bathroom is simple, just 1 bathroom shared with 3 rooms. i hope to stay again!

Big and comfortable room with AC, functional bathroom. Water, tea and coffee available all the time. The food was amazing, catered for vegetarians and huge portions, and the women who looked after us caring and excellent. Thank you! A great location right next to the Tangkoko reserve entrance with Ifon our host and guide brilliant at spotting wildlife in the trees! Beautiful beaches and nice locals in the village. Basic facilities but if you are used to staying in Indonesia and or the jungle, you’ll be fine.
Great stay in rantepoa! would highly recommend this homestay if you are visiting Toraja. The host family are lovely and provide delicious meals and made us feel so comfortable. They arranged transport options for us and great tours. Wish we could stay longer!
We really liked our stay at Harry and Mimin. They are so lovely people and very helpful. We really liked the location of the homestay which is closer to nature but you still have warungs and supermarkets close by. They also have bikes you can use. It was clean and comfy
It was such a nice stay in this homestay. The host Franky welcomes you like a friend and part of the family. We even visited a local wedding and I played some violin for them :D Also the Jungle Tours are quite interesting, and he can show you so many animals. The rooms are close to the jungle and are well equipped. Just go there, you won't regret it. Franky, I miss you and your family!
Imanuel is a very attentive and considerate host. The breakfast was delicious. The tours very interesting. We would recommend this homestay.
We had great time here. A nice family homestay outside of the city center (it can be a little noisy though). Felt like at home, great moment over dinner, water refill, local medication if needed;) Room is spacious, clean, modern and well furnished. Breakfast was perfect and in addition you can rent motorbike here Henrick is a good guide I highly recommend a tour with him. He has strong knowledge about the toraja culture and will dedicate a lot of time to explain it. Kuree Sumanga !
Amazing Homestay with extremely
We had a delightful stay at Nuansa Homestay, immersing ourselves in its rural charm and authentic accommodation. The host family was not only friendly but truly lovely and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The traditional Tongkonan house was exceptionally clean, and surprisingly, no mosquitoes bothered us. One highlight was the fantastic guide (Mr. Natan) they provided, enhancing our experience.
Lovely host family. Paulus (host) did take us to a Torajan funeral as a guide. Also he arranged a rental motorbike/moped for us. His wife Ernie makes the best banana pancakes for breakfast!!
