Our lodging was next door in a guest house that had been converted into rooms with private bathrooms. We had an immaculate, beautiful room by the sea with nice furnishings and linens. The private bathroom was very nice with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The breakfast was a lovely presentation with a nice variety of Iceland breakfast foods. Breakfast was served at a large communal table. Not sure I really go for that but it was nice. Parking was easy and right in front of the lodging.

But by far the best was the staff from arrival with Agnes and the being advised all the best places to go by Gosha the Polish host with the most and the restaurant manager, they were all engaging, helpful and friendly, we were travelling Iceland for ten nights and this was the stand out ♥️

At the guest house, the units include a shared bathroom. EVERYTHING! Perfect location. Ingvar, our host is very quick to respond to my queries and very informative. His home is beautifully set up. Everything we needed was provided. Wifi is excellent. Bunos that there's a laundry ( both washer & dryer) available. Our room was spacious & clean. Whole house was clean. Such a shame we were only there for 1 night. Would've loved to enjoy more of the view whilst having a meal. Hopefully we can come back again.

The host, the house, the coziness, the position in front of the ocean, we could see an amazing show of northern nights. Olga, the host, is incredibly kind and nice; we had a last minute change of plans because of the weather and our northern lights chase and despite of the very short notice of our request she was so flexible and accommodating. The house is amazingly decorated, you really feel like home and honestly if we wouldn’t have had so less time during our trip, we would have loved to relax there some more days. Absolutely recommended!! 🩷

Cleanliness (cleanest we have ever stayed), decor, friendly, helpful staff and the views. The Icelandic horse herding evening and next morning was a real bonus.

The guest house provides mountain views, a terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. This was our favourite stay in our one week tour of Iceland! It was comfortable, spacious and clean. The shower was powerful and the kitchen was fully equipped. It had the most comfortable bed too. We were even able to see the northern lights. The view was spectacular.

Solvanes Farmholidays is offering accommodation in Varmahlid. The property features mountain and river views. The property provides barbecue facilities, parking on-site and an electric vehicle charging station. Incredibly kind owners, nice rooms. We were able to get an excellent dinner after a long day of driving. The breakfast was also top notch. If you want a more personal experience, this is the place. My daughter loved it because she could feed the lambs of the farm.
