The room was spacious, quiet and the bed very comfortable but the best thing was the staff who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and help with anything I needed, they were really amazing, particularly Phout who accompanied me to buy an extra suitcase. The breakfasts were varied and delicious with a great choice of local dishes. I wholeheartedly recommend this place if you are going to Luang Prabang.

The guest house provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Had such a pleasant stay at Ban Vivanh. It was very comfortable and the property is beautiful. Vivanh is a lovely host and very accommodating. In the past, there was a footbridge to walk from near the property to the city center. Although the bridge is currently undergoing repairs, it is still super easy to get to the center either by boat (costs only 10,000 kip), tuk tuk, or a leisurely walk across the bridge (maybe 25 minutes tops). Actually, the seclusion of the property away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy city center was probably my favorite part. Highly recommend!

Loved the family style breakfast served anytime between 7:30 - 10:30; its great for meeting new people, and spending time getting to know the hosts. I also had the BEST shower to date in Southeast Asia, and the room is comfortable and quiet making sleep easy. You’re slightly outside of the main strip of Luang Prabang, but the bikes on-site are nicer than most rentals and make it easy and convenient to get around. Being slightly outside of the main drag also ensures you’ll explore other parts of the city.

There was a shuttle bus to travel to and from the town centre. All the staff were friendly, helpful and assisted us with any questions we had. TheyWe enjoyed everything about our stay and would definitely return. We have already recommended Thongbay to our friends.

Stunning views over the river from our room and breakfast area. Nice buffet breakfast with coffee. The beds are comfortable, the shower is amazing (great heat and pressure!) and everything is super clean. Our air conditioner was leaking on the first night and they quickly moved us to a new room for the rest of our stay. They also have bikes, can book tours and transport and have very helpful staff. Short walk to the night market and all restaurants while having the benefit of river views. We enjoyed staying here and recommend the hotel for sure.
