Situated in Akaroa and only 700 metres from Akaroa Beach, The Captain's House features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. This homestay features a garden. The homestay has family rooms. I had a great time at the Captain's House (stayed one night, in the double room). Communication was good. The place is up the hill, with a nice garden and a beautiful view. The inside is nicely decorated, I liked finding a tag with my name on the door of my room. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was great, with home made butter, some jam, bread and... Pancake batter to make my own pancakes. I had a tight schedule but I would have loved spending more time at the house to just relax, that seemed like a perfect place for it. I completely recommand staying here and will do so again if I ever come back to Akaroa.
