The room is small but that doesn’t mean bad. It’s super cosy, with AC and an awesome shower with pressure. We loved to be able to cool down in a hot 36Celsius day. The room was about 22C thanks to the AC. We really thank the hosts for turning it on before we got there.
It was a peaceful stay, no noises, just relaxing.

Villa Estefânia is an elegant centenary house that was fully renovated, while still maintaining many of its original features. With views to the Moorish Castle, it has a communal gardened deck on the 1st floor and is an 8-minute walk from Sintra National Palace. Everything! The property is stunning with a lot of attention to detail to restoration and comfort! We had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Our room had a kitchen, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, a fridge, hairdryer etc. We had fresh chilled drinks on arrival and were blown away by the breakfast (an abundance of fresh bread, pastries, fruits, nuts, meats, cheese, orange juice, it was fabulous and exceptionally generous for the price we paid per night stay). The location is perfect with fabulous local restaurants a small stroll away. Francisco is a wonderful host, who made us feel very at home and could not have done more for us during our stay. We can’t wait to come back again!
Sintra
Casa da Estefânea is situated in Sintra, a 13-minute walk from Sintra National Palace. The guesthouse is within a traditional Portuguese building with a Romantic-style architecture. It features hard limestone interiors and exteriors, matched with cork details. Lovely hotel in the heart of Sintra. We had two rooms – one with a very large king bed and one with twin beds for our adult kids. The hotel is beautifully decorated with stylish touches. Each room had strong A/C, comfortable showers, and there’s a cozy common area where afternoon treats, wine, coffee, and tea are served. Breakfast was very good, everything we wanted. The manager was extremely helpful and gave excellent tips on places to visit and where to eat. While the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, free parking is available nearby on the street. Overall, we all loved our stay – great location, wonderful atmosphere, and welcoming staff. Highly recommended!

Lovely hosts , comfortable bed, great little kitchen with little touches like tea, coffee, oil and salt and pepper provided . Local village very quaint , and MaeTerre ( sp) restaurant was great. Nice little shops and beautiful beach 20 mins walk away. Well connected by bus to Sintra too.
We loved the breakfast and the facilities! The staff were very helpful and kind. The location and building felt as if we were staying in a private home.
Great host, she told us a lot about the area. Very nice and clean accommodation. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful view in the nice residential area. And of course, last but not least, the lovely dogs! Will definitely return if in the area.
Excellent location, just 200 metres from the train station and right in the middle between the historic centre and the new town. Historic centre just a fifteen minutewalk away. Rui and his family are great hosts with excellent communication. The apartment has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Very quiet location despite being in the centre. Very private with no overlooking. I would definitely stay here again.
Great facilities. Good location. Comfortable beds. In theory a great hostel; I just had not great experiences with the staff.
Lovely hostel. The private room gives even extra privacy and is quite spacious
Great host, perfect location, clean apartment. Would recommend to everyone.
Beautiful garden setting. Lovely hosts
Our stay at Sintra Marmoris Camelia exceeded our expectations! Apparently, the hotel used to be someone's private home and was recently renovated and converted to the Marmoris Camelia hotel. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed with thoughtful touches. A gorgeous glass decanter of port as well as local chocolates was displayed on a beautiful mirrored tray. The hotel itself was spotless, with marble stairs and floors polished to a tee. Breakfast was a just as exceptional.
