Fantastic location and very well managed. We stayed for a night and it was clean, organised and good breakfast. Manager helped with late night arrival and bikes available to move around. Good one for family stays.

The staff speaks English and Spanish and they're the kindest people. They made us feel right at home and they were always ready to help us. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the bar has a great atmosphere with good music and plenty types of beer.

Hostel is really great, it's more than I expected. Great value for the money. It was clean, location is great, in front of Luzerne Lake, you can go to the center by foot, but also you have bus station near. Staff is amazing, really friendly and helpful. I liked common space, it was cozy, and kitchen was helpful.

The Oldtown Hostel Otter and its old-established Wüste Bar is a stylish place for the young-at-heart in Zürich's Old Town, about 300 metres from the Zürich-Stadelhofen train station and the lake.

What to write here to explain how wonderful time we had here... I have to start first with Michelle and Chris, two best persons we ever encountered behind the reception and managing a hostel. It started all with our 2,5h delay or arrival due to the unplanned Gotthard tunnel closing. We were stuck in a traffic jam and arrived around 19:30h instead of 17h. They were so kind and organized our dinner even in that time (initially planned for 18:30h), so when we arrived after our long trip from Italy it was nice and warm and delicious. During our stay there, they have been all the time super friendly, helpful and professional. This place is lucky to have them and without them it would never be the same. Our family room was nice and cosy with the great view of the lake and green fields and mountains around. Birds were waking us in the morning and it felt so great to be so close to nature. Very clean room and the whole place was clean in general. Our kids also had a great time with free activities there (play room, table tennis, table soccer). We are already looking and making plans to come back in the near future. It is not possible to give a higher review than 10/10 so we give only 10 here. I propose booking.com to make some possibility to give option for 'the best ever' mark/sign which can be used once per year or something and only on an exceptional case because this place is definitely exceptional.

It is a little far from the station but within walking distance. Although the space was shared by both men and women, it was almost like a capsule hotel, so I was not bothered by the space. I was able to manage my luggage in a locker with a card key. It is a little inconvenient that it is outside the room, but it is not that much of a negative factor. Bath towels were available for unlimited use, and the bathrooms and toilets were separate for men and women, which was a good consideration.
