The dorm was under construction so they let me stay in a private double room and it was a beautiful Japanese style one, with tatami and a Mt Fuji paint. The hostel was in lo-fi style, very cool common aerea with low music. The kitchen was well equipped. The reception was at the beautiful café, vintage style where some days you could have dinner as well. I had some fried potatoes with egg and cheese and it was good. The staff was very friendly and available to give suggestions about places to see and where to eat, and they could speak a good English. The hostel was close to both bus and train station.

A very nice inn, retro style ! The owner is a very nice person. Better to talk a little bit of japanese but it's ok if you don't ;) The train station is only 3 minutes by walking. I recommand it !

Good view, comfortable beds, quiet and calm environment. I was here 7 years ago, so I'm so surprised that they maintain the high quality of the accommodation for so long time. Everything is as nice as 7 years ago. Appreciate the great effort by the owner.

    The location was really great and I felt very safe staying in a mixed dorm as a woman travelling on my own. The beds were comfy, and it was great to be able to leave my bags in the hostel after I checked out until I caught my bus that evening. The wifi was strong and overall it was a good stay! Will definitely stay here on future trips to Beppu.
