It was amazing and very rare to have a hotel/hostel type situation. It was divided into men and women’s sections. The beds and the bunk rooms were so spacious so comfortable. I’ve done this in America in Europe and this was one of the best I’ve been in. I definitely recommend it for a traveler. Also the common room and the free happy hour First beer was amazing.

I realize it's stated clearly here, but I was not prepared for how large this space actually is! It is a former hostel which could easily house 10-15 people across multiple bedrooms and you get to rent the whole thing! It has an unheard-of amount of space for lodging in Japan, and it also happens to be within view of Matsumoto Castle and within easy walking distance to the main draws of Matsumoto city. Definitely don't pass on this option if you are traveling with a large family. We were sad to check out.

Stunning property, really lovely sweet staff that were super helpful. Super clean and organized, and very comfortable. Shared facilities were lovely to use. Great place to stay the night before heading off on hikes in the mountains, if starting from Nakabusa Onsen. Nearby supermarket was great for cheap convenient meals. The cafe itself was also delicious!!

it's located in Asahi Vil, beautiful mountain with streamlet nearby. Not difficult to visit as they provide pick up at Shiojiri train station. Owner (Wakuw and Ayano) who's switch their city life back into nature are so kind and give us very warm welcome. there is a camp ground nearby and we can have a short walk amidst the nature scene. if required. they can provide you breakfast and dinner that you should try as Wakuw San was a chef from Tokyo who back to nature life.
