I think this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. First of all, I want to thank the staff, especially Sami, who was incredibly kind and helped me whenever I needed advice! The atmosphere feels just like home, and you realize it within a few hours—there’s always someone around, and there’s always a chance to make great friendships, like I did with Erkin, Jimmy, and Macy! I’ll miss them all and hope to see them again one day! All of this was thanks to Tora Hotel! I can’t wait to come back!

One thing distinguishes COGO Ryogoku from other hostels I’ve stayed in - the staff members warmth and kindness. They’re all Japanese but speak English fluently so you won’t have any issue with communication. I didn’t have the opportunity to converse with each of them, but those I had the opportunity to share a conversation with were very kind and friendly. The others seemed very nice nonetheless ! The room and bathroom are cleaned daily by hard working staff so if you see something dirty blame your roommates for lack of hostel etiquette. The huge common area and kitchen on the reception floor is another great point that distinguishes COGO Ryogoku from other hostels. There are tables where you can sit comfortably to work, eat or even socialise with the other guests and staff members. This open space is very welcoming and open all day/ night. If you need a private space to work, you can rent one for a cheap price. Barely a 5 minute walk from Ryogoku station, it is easily accessible and can get to anywhere in Tokyo quickly. The closest convenience store is a 10 second walk from the entrance of the building, very convenient for late night cravings ! Thank you again for all your help and your kindness !

It was my first time in Tokyo, so I choose this hostel because of its close proximity to the airport link. The area is quiet, there are lots of shops and supermarkets nearby, and also a small post office within 100m. I had an upper bunk, which was comfy, but the light is very strong and too excessive over the bed. There is a roll down curtail for privacy, and a locker for your stuff, altough its a bit narrow for luggage. There were 2 showers 2 toilets on my floor, and I never had to wait. Lobby area is big, good for socializing. They also have a small restaurant / takeaway but I didn't try, maybe next time :)

The hostel is in a great location in Shinjuku. It is close to the Golden Gai area if you plan on going out at night. The beds were comfortable with a curtain. Under the bunk beds, there is an area/locker for each person to store their belongings. The room has AC. The bathrooms were clean and the showers are hot. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Everything, I have lived in hostels of several other countries but this was the best hostel. It’s cheap, near to attractions, bus stops nearby, trains to airport and Ginza line were about 10-minute walk. Even after checking out you could leave your luggage for few hours and use the first floor facilities.

Friendly staff, welcoming inclusive atmospheres, Great location (5 min away from Sensoji temple, a bit far from the station, about 10min. But the scenery of the area is so unique and I enjoyed walking. I felt safe to walk back to the hostel from the station midnight by myself, and the local people there are really kind). I stayed in a dormitory room, everyone was kind and thoughtful ( quiet at night). Stayed there for 4 nights and I had a good time there! I also liked the electric piano at the entrance.
