Amazing stay, but waay too short. The hostel is super well located to reach the lake, the fortress and the bus for hiking. The room is comfy and Gyoko is an amazing host ready to help on anything, remembers the guests’ names and their stories, gives you extra blanket so you aren’t cold, gives tips on where to go and how and saves you to get to the bus station 4 minutes before departure.

Everything, place located 15 min walk from the main passage and old city centre, also less than 10 min from the shopping centre. The beds were comfy, and the place was clean. Super friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended this place.

I stayed at Hostel Bela with my family and a small dog at the same time as David (who rated the accommodation with 1 star). Since our impressions are completely opposite, I decided to write a more detailed review. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bedding was in good condition and clean. The bathroom was clean with enough hygiene supplies. The host prepares breakfast daily with local ingredients. Although the Booking.com listing states that there is no internet, there actually is, and during our stay, the connection was stable and fast. The host is very friendly and ready to help at any moment. When leaving the accommodation, I forgot my jacket. Since I was unable to return, the host got in touch with my friends who were in Ohrid at the time and personally delivered it to them in the city center. If I find myself in Ohrid again, I will gladly stay at the same place.
