All in all it was a really great stay and experience. The employees were more than welcoming and gave us great information about what to visit in the city and where we should go. The map we got at the reception was very helpfull aswell. The hotelroom was pretty, clean and georgeus. All those little details like the shampoo bottle with „hello I‘m shampoo“ written on it just made you smile. The breakfast was also delicious and even if the selection wasn‘t that big everybody will be able to find something. My personal favourite thing about our stay was the room for everyone in the middle of the hostel. It‘s a really cute room with sofas, tables with comfartable chairs, games, plants and a beautiful chimney. Sitting and reading or playing bordgames there was one of the most relaxing things I had done in a while. So if you‘re looking for somewhere to stay for one or two days in Haarlem, this is the place to go.

Stayokay Hostel Haarlem is a hostel located on the edge of the city, only a short distance from the popular beach town Bloemendaal aan Zee. Benefit from free parking and the lovely terrace.

The atmosphere! For people from Indonesia, I've never slept in a castle before. Because castle was never built in Indonesia. So staying overnight in Assumburg castle is one of my 'childhood dream came true' experience to me. :) I really appreciate this experience, maybe sounds hyperbolic for some people, but I did only can dream to sleep in a castle when I was still little girl. I even only knew about castle from kids magazine I read at that time. I paid around €32 inclusive tax (during stay in winter holiday) for a bunk bed in a dormitory room. I was the only guest in that room at that night, so it's for me so luxurious for the silence! We got access to many rooms, I could touch old furnitures from centuries ago, and I enjoyed walking on the woods floor/stairs and for sounds while I was stepping! I was very happy to experience its all! ☺️ The time was just right, I was there in low season. Oya, also the French style garden, I got the feeling! Who wants to leave that ellegant place anyway?! And again, for that price, we still got buffet breakfast! Sleeping in a historical landmark in the Netherlands, staying overnight with a package Stayokay has offered is no doubt super affordable!

To be honest, this hostel is very wonderful. I mean, all of them are perfect, such as location, cleaning, staff,... I really supprise about breakfast buffet, it's various and convenient for chosing. Highly recommend this hostel for a memorable trip.
