It is just always a joy to return to The Local Easy check in and luggage storage. (Free before check in, 2$ a bag after) Subway nearby Nice and chill common areas with chairs and small sofas (And a good area on the other side, where you can eat or work on the laptop) I had a six night stay and by coincidence I was in the room when housekeeping came in on the third or fourth night, and they so nicely asked if I wanted new linens on my bed. I said no, they did it anyway, not gonna complain about that though 😀 The area is very safe. Over time I have walked around on the streets at all hours I'll return (again)

I love this place. It’s always nice being there. It’s clean and you get exactly what you pay for. Ear plugs are recommended due to it being a hostel but there is no better place for me if I stay in New York by myself.

location wast perfect! one block and a half from subway. and very close to soho, lower east, and the village. lots of great chinese restaurants very close too. i got the room with the bathroom, facing the street. bright, very clean. no tv, no fridge, no coffee machine, but i already knew it. did`nt expeted it, nor needed it. internet was great too, which is important. staff was very friendly. is important to know that there is no elevator, so you should climb stairs with the suitcase, which is`nt a problem either. perfect value for the price. will be back!

The rooms were good, the bathrooms clean (as far as that is possible with several users), the location was perfect for a weekend to explore the city! And you occasionally meet nice people in the kitchen to chat.
