Reception area is not exactly big enough to be called a lobby, but there’s a spacious common area and balcony plus a kitchen if you want to cook. Very nice staff. I was amazed for a small hotel that they have this 5-star touch of stamping a new roll of toilet paper upon check-in.

Sydney Central Hostel is 10 minutes’ walk from the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens. It is 15 minutes’ by train to Sydney Opera House and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Bondi Beach is a 20-minute bus ride away. My stay was short but really good! I loved the staff and the terrace. I enjoyed a great view and the sunshine on the rooftop. The breakfast and dinner were a big plus, they totally saved me from cooking!
