Bathroom facilities at The Yard Hostel are shared. My second timing staying here, absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Helsinki. The location is perfect right at the heart of central Helsinki and within walking distance of the central station. clean, comfortable beds, nice common areas and helpful staff.

The hostel is 1.8 km from Helsinki Cathedral, 1.9 km from Helsinki Olympic Stadium and 2 km from Finlandia Hall. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is 15 km away. Hostel was very central, an easy walk around the city but also close to the metro, tram, and bus stops. The room came with lockers that lock via the room key which was an amazing surprise. The room I stayed in was on the smaller side, but overall comfortable enough for the price. Honestly the guy who was working is what gives this hostel a 5 star review! He was super friendly, really helpful and an overall Lovely person!

The hostel offers a 24-hour reception and security lockers. Bed linen is included in room prices. Guests can relax and socialize in the common room. The location is fantastic, I had a conference at the University of Helsinki for three days, but I also stayed two more days and went out into the city, and the main station is very easily accessible from there on foot, or if your luggage is heavy, with the trams. The kitchen seems very functional and well equipped, although I didn't have that much time to cook, but it's also a nice common area! The room was decent (5 people mixed dorm), very clean, and didn't feel overcrowded to me. My mattress could have been newer, it had lost a bit of its support. Not the most lively hostel I've stayed at, but since I was there for work, I didn't mind it being quiet in the rooms and hallways. However, they had a nice list of activities for the week, which took place in bars and venues in the area, plus a Whatsapp group so you can connect with other guests. I would have loved to try those out if I'd stayed longer, or if I get the chance to visit again.

Located on Helsinki’s Katajanokka island, surrounded by the sea, this hostel is a 5-minute tram ride from the city centre. Vyökatu Tram Stop is just around the corner. The Viking Line ferry terminal and Kauppatori Market Square are few minutes' walk away. Also other interesting sights are close by. Very modern, clean and efficient.

Petra was an amazing hostess who really loved welcoming in such a warm manner- I instantly felt at home!

Its self-catering rooms have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Very comfy. Clean, quiet. Had all that was promised. Location within walking distance to the airport, managed even with a big and heavy bag.
