It is just 5 minutes' walk from the Rotorua Visitors Centre and bus stops. The property is within walking distance to a weekly night market. The access was easy for all times of the day. The lounges and kitchen spaces were large and suitable for my child to be in. Staff were incredible from initial phone calls to during stay.

One of the nicest hostels I've been to! I loved the location, very beautiful building, and the terrace overlooking the bay is the perfect spot to have breakfast! Shout-out to the staff! They were so nice and helpful (especially Luciano), as a solo traveler it is much appreciated. The bathrooms and showers were clean, the dorms as well.

Rotorua Downtown Backpackers is a modern hostel is located in the heart of Rotorua across the road from the I-Site and major bus lines.

Accommodation includes private rooms or dormitory-style rooms. All are heated and have linen provided. The private rooms offer fans and a desk. All have access to shared bathroom facilities. This was the third time staying at this hostel. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, kitchen and toilets are always very clean, the bed was very comfortable.

Located on a quiet street opposite Blake Park, Seagulls Guesthouse offers free fibre WiFi and is a 5-minute walk from Mount Maunganui Beach. Accommodation options are all private and include double, twin, single and family rooms. Great guest house with really welcoming host. Very clean and tidy place and the bed was very comfortable. Shared bathrooms but kept immaculate and great shower. Fantastic kitchen dinning area with lots of space and free tea and coffee. Lovely living area too and liked the property security used to enter the building and the room.

Situated in Tauranga, 13 km from ASB Baypark Stadium, Hugo & Carters Backpackers & Motel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. The woman working at reception was exceptionally wonderful, friendly and helpful. I was running behind schedule and was going to be late for my tour at of Hobbiton when I checked in, and she was quick to see that I was a little stressed. She was able to call Hobbiton (as I didn't have a working phone to call) to help reschedule my tour to a later time, and then proceeded to give me a quick run-down of the hostel before I got back on the road for my tour. I am very grateful for her assistance.

The cosy hostel is conveniently located near the awe-inspiring Kuirau Park, featuring captivating geothermal wonders. Guests can explore tranquil forest trails, experience heart-pumping bike rides, relax in natural hot springs, and immerse themselves in Maori culture. We are loving Hakas,and the one in Rotorua is not an exception. Friendly staff, cosiness, cleanness - all the stuff the chain is made of. And this house is also a bit outstanding for its beds that are so comfy!

Iya at the reception was very friendly , she also gave me a good orientation of the place and attended to my needs for laundry. I would recommend other travellers to stay here too , good location, value for money and friendly staff . Thanks again!

Children are permitted to stay at Rotorua Central Backpackers but must be accompanied by an adult and either stay in a private room or a privatised dorm. An accompanying adult, staying in the hostel at the same time, can provide consent for a child to stay in a private room alone. Great location with very friendly staff. Garden was lovely in the summer evenings (plus drying laundry!)
